Blogger Rachelle B has taken it upon herself to photograph “street writing” in NYC & Chicago. Check out her pics (which all feature her shoes, the bottom of her coats, and sometimes what I assume is her ipod headphone cord or the camera string).

I love this project partially because I once went through a feet photographing phase (see above) which cumulated in a facebook album entitled “Measuring My Final Weeks of College in Feet”. (Um, anyway.)

Also, Street Writing is different from wall-graffiti because it usually consists of stenciled and spray-painted art resulting in images I’d like to screenprint directly on a few American Apparel T-shirts.

The art often has an anti-establishment edge, showing off political opinions or anti-war statements, although some use it as a form of unique advertising or just plain sillyness (”I <3 Trash?”)
