Here are photos featuring the fashion industry’s love of boyish figures and super-skinny women. Fashion’s exclusion of all other sizes is ridiculous. Nonetheless, these photos from The New York Times have been sitting on my desk for weeks, and I just now decided I couldn’t let these bright colors slide by, no matter the size of the model within them. (Check out the New York Times Spring 2008 Fashion & Beauty Magazine online. It’s got some amazing stuff, and beautiful web-design, too!)
If you know me, you’ll know I sometimes obsessively wear bright colors and often avoid the rule of not wearing too many brights at once (some examples). I really love the boldness of these outfits, and the high-heel and bright sock combo. I have been trying to cultivate my own bright sock & high heel collection for $20 or less a set. I’ve been pretty successful find bright socks at H&M and high heels at Steve & Barry’s, bringing my foot grand total per outfit to about $10.

man those models are crazzzzy skinny. but i too could not pass up loving these photos for their colors. i think it is great that you love a beautiful “web-design” as much as the actual page content. i don’t know what that even means, but it sounds very intelligente :)
