If you are getting tired of hearing from me (that’s me, Maria, who is always babbling away over here), today is your lucky day: we have a brand new columnist (her socks and feet, pictured above)! Not only is her first Stickers & Donuts post today (pencil cases!), but she has tons more coming up (more school supplies! interviews! etc!). I admit to being jealous of her very cute and well-thought-out posts, which feature the same kind of humor she presents on her personal blog, Marmalade Skies and Marshmallow Pies.

(More bio after jump!)

I met Tricia at Cornell, where I passed an Editorial torch on to her after I graduated. After that, we communicated via email during Editorial crises, and then learned that we both like blogs, randomly cute items, and Oprah (yes, Oprah, so?). So, here is a little bio of Tricia (all of your biographical needs can also be met on the S&D About page). After reading her bio, you can read her post, which is coming up in a few minutes!

Tricia enjoys pre-disheveled New York Times, the sound of two opposite trains passing one another, colors named after East Coast locales (ex: Nantucket Red, Cape Cod Blue), and 90s television shows.

For nearly her entire life, Tricia has lived within an hour from downtown Chicago. The first exception involved a three-year stint at a cornfield-barricaded school with ceilingless classrooms. She graduated from Cornell University (another Illinois exception!) with a degree in the Biological Sciences and concentrations in the Nutritional Sciences and Southeast Asian studies. There she met Maria, who introduced her to the wonders of Photoshop and InDesign. She currently works at a law firm, where she exercises her strong command of office support skills.

Tricia enjoys pre-disheveled New York Times, the sound of two opposite trains passing one another, colors named after East Coast locales (ex: Nantucket Red, Cape Cod Blue), Three 6 Mafia/Blink 182/Weezer sing and dance-a-longs with her friends, and 90s television shows (ex: Freaks and Geeks, My So Called Life). She also likes purchasing frivolous items, being domestic, making crafty things for people, and admiring her growing headband collection. If you are so inclined, you can stalk her on her personal blog and last.fm page.
