Happy Friday! Posts are going to be light and/or non-existent through Tuesday (LSATs / GREs!!!!)! This post is long. Save half of it for Monday? xo

I blame Tricia & Bobby Solomon for the messiness of this post.

First of all, Tricia’s study-supply-heavy currently obsessed post prompted me to write my own study-supply heavy currently obsessed post. (Hopefully, between the two of us, your next study session will be super-productive (and you will gain five pounds).)

Bobby Solomon doesn’t know who I am, but I read his blog & am really obsessed with his desktop wallpaper project. He has twitter (so does Stickers & Donuts!) and commented on Ben Fold’s new album with a song featuring Regina Spektor, which I also love, and in usual internet-fashion I now feel really connected and really creepy.

ANYWAY, right after laying out the images for this post, I discovered this week’s desktop wallpaper featuring Billy Murray on Bobby’s blog, and (instant obsession!) had to squeeze it into my post. Due to a layer error and time constraints, I had only so many choices in reorganization. Alas. Messy.

Anyway, after the jump, long descriptions (procrastination) of the things in the picture. Also, links.

1) I like to take long, procrastinating breaks. Often, this involves iGoogle (or writing blog posts), which is a fast resource for all my news, email, twitter, feed reader, and word-of-the-day needs. (I have a lot of needs.)

Anyway, iGoogle currently has these fun artist-created themes for your border/background. Paul Frank’s header-design is my current favorite, because it changes all of the time, has lots of bright colors, and monkeys.

2) Next, if you have a mac and need to learn words, I suggest looking them up on your Mac Widget Dictionary. It’s my favorite quick-access dictionary, because it includes a sample sentence, which really helps me remember words! (Okay, I know this one was boring. But I am obsessed. Currently.)

3) I do not need a gigantic index card for one word, even if it’s a long word like deipnosophist (Note: you will never need to know this word, and it’s so obscure it’s not even in the Mac Widget Dictionary.) Anyway, that’s why I love Mead’s half-sized index cards. (I got mine at Rite Aid.)

4) Tricia already covered this, but when you are studying you obviously need to eat food that’s bad for you. I think it has something to do with counter-acting the horribleness of studying. Anyway, L Magazine featured this illustrated guide to red velvet cupcakes in NYC. I have yet to eat one, but the image is a good printing size, and you can put it on your wall and imagine you are eating red velvet cupcakes.

5) Other great study snack: asian candy. These yummy hi-chews are softer than Starburst and stick to your mouth less.

6) Now, for the wallpaper (by Garret Vander Leun)! So, Bobby Solomon has this wallpaper project (see introduction) and this week’s backdrop features BILL MURRAY (which relates directly to Tricia’s currently obessed post where she tells a weird story about Bill Murray). It has quotes and drawings from a whole bunch of Bill’s movies. I love the kid from Royal Tennenbaums inspecting the car! Unfortunately, it says PUSSY in large, all capital letters, and thus cannot go on my desktop at work. I’m considering a nice printout with-frame for my wall (that’s the best secret thing you can do with desktop wallpaper as cool as this).

7) Hershey’s website says NOTHING about these Pumpkin Spice Hershey kisses, but luckily I found a Candy Blog that had pictures (ie the one above), a review, and everything. I got my candies at Target. They taste like chocolate, but they have this delightful filling and spice flavor.

8) When I’m studying or working, I get super-tired of my lame 2GB ipod that can only fit, what, 500 songs? Anyway, there always comes a time when I must switch to Pandora, which ultimately ends up playing a lot of the same songs I already own, but it’s nice to have a free-music, non-radio option. (I assume you know what Pandora is. If you don’t, get on top of that.)

Have a great weekend! I’ll meet you back here sometime next week : )!
