H-A-P-P-Y F-R-I-D-A-Y!

It has been a busy week here at Stickers & Donuts. We interviewed Ian Dingman. And we LOVED IT. Go take a look if you haven’t yet. (The interview seems long, but when you get right down to it, you’ll wish it were longer!)

We’ve had the pleasure of interviewing many cool people here at S&D, which brings me back to this Yellow Zilla Monster Print by Tad Carpenter who we interviewed for Tricia’s “Poster Party.”

In this post, I specifically requested that you do not purchase all of the yellow zilla monsters so that I might get one for my birthday (my exact words were something like this: “I am putting this on my birthday list! I HOPE it doesn’t sell out!!!” which was meant to imply, “Please leave one for me.”). The print was going to look fabulous on my turquoise & lime green walls.

In this series of emails with my technologically-challenged mother, I was distressed to discover that not only was the print sold out, but my mom thought I wanted Yellow Zilla Monster Print Pajamas:

Me: For my birthday I would like a Yellow Zilla Monster Print (top + bottom set, $25)

Mom: Dear Maria, I am so frustrated!!!! I have tried to order your bday gifts on-line for the last hour. There are no more of those pj’s as far as I can tell but who knows–I may be doing it wrong. I think I am hopeless! What should I do? xoxo, Mom PS Do not laugh–it is not funny!

Me: Those “PJs” are not pjs but a print (like a poster) that has a “top” and “bottom”. Anyways, it is sold out. :(

Mom: It is not fair–I tried so hard! Why does it have a top and a bottom if its not pj’s (I think they would be cute).

And that’s that. Sorry for “Personal Story Friday” but I couldn’t resist.

Have a great weekend everyone!
