We want YOU to join US.

Our fabulous editor Tricia is soon taking a Stickers & Donuts siesta, and so we need someone else to join the S&D Team as a Guest Writer or, possibly, an S&D Editor-at-Large. As an extra bonus, your salary will be exactly the same as mine (that would be $0, unfortunately).

Here are a few reasons why you might want to write for S&D:

• We already have readers, so your posts will get an audience.
• You’ll have freedom to come up with your own ideas and write about topics that interest you.
• You will get experience blogging, or be able to link back to your own blog.
• You might be able to score interviews with cool and artsy people.

If you’ve been reading S&D, you know our style (usually: art, humor, fun, creativity) and the range of topics we like to post about (interviews, product guides, reviews, art project how-tos). Usually, posts are like little articles with some visuals and aren’t a re-post of one cool thing found elsewhere on the internet (because SwissMiss wins at that!).

If you have an idea for a guest post (“Dear Maria, I really love lemmings, and recently I’ve sound several ironic and artsy lemming-related products. I think this would make a great post!”) please send me an email at maria@stickersanddonuts.com. Mostly I am looking for good ideas, and interesting writing. Also let me know if you’d be interested in anything more long term — but no worries, you can take a test-drive first. Questions are also welcome.

You don’t need to know lots about blogging, but it would be helpful if you had a picture editing program (there are free ones, like Gimp, available for download on the internet that shouldn’t take too long to learn).

In the meantime, you might see a few less posts from S&D each week until we find some people to hop on board. You can still look forward to a fabulous interview this week & more gift guides!
