I have this book! It was one of my favorites! The colors used in the illustrations are so vibrant and the girl is so unique and fun! Also, I feel her interest can relate to any girl and encourage her blossom just as Maria did. I have not a clue how my mom got a hold of it (I checked on Amazon a couple years ago, and it was selling for over $100, but the price fluctuates), but I know I want to keep this gem of a book for my children. :) Wow!
