Happy Monday! The penultimate week leading to a long holiday weekend (or in my case…a return to the STATES!) is always excruciating for me. A compendium of stressors! There’s always some type of challenge, whether it be (cough cough) writing my thesis or finishing projects for work. This is all complicated by pesky self-questioning of what gifts I should purchase for individuals, or more importantly, fears that I will forget someone.
So, as we embark on this week (and in the name of “you gotta look out for number 1″), here’s a potential treat for yourself. Well, I suppose you could share it, but selfishness is sometimes fun (I shoved a woman so *I* wouldn’t get hit by a motobike today).
JetPens has been a huge Stickers & Donuts supporter for the past couple of years, and has generously offered a $25 gift certificate to JetPens.com for one reader! To enter, describe what you fantasize spending the gift certificate on. Or, write something that will make me laugh. Winner will be chosen by a random number generator. Giveaway ends on December 21st!

My freshman year of college, I received the nickname “Gogo.” No, not a reference to the perfect-hair chanteuses who brag about having beats. My model: Gogo Yubari…the Kill Bill schoolgirl with unbridled rage (and a meteor hammer). I was far from a killer, just an occasional swatter when someone (a victim) would unexpectedly tap my shoulder. Or hug me.
I am now more conservative with my swats, but violence still innocently reverberates throughout my body. Harmless karma itchings. For example, let’s say that you’re on the subway, a stranger throws a laundry basket at you, and they LAUGH. (True story.) For me, moments like these demand a little cathartic relief. Maybe a wee wish that the perpetrator trips. A little. As a supporter of such passive aggressive violence (not physical violence! PEACE FLAGS/SIGNS/DOVES), here is list of items that I believe secretly violent people will enjoy. The following is dedicated to all the males & females that have angered me this past week.
1. Uncanny resemblance to your ex-boyfriend, right? Best of all, it’s NECESSARY to stab and store your knives. Leaving them on the counter would be bad knife etiquette. Ex Voodoo Knife Holder from Perpetual Kid, $70
2. “Yes, you treated me so wretchedly that you deserve to be slammed in between Twilight.” Dead Mark Bookmark from Perpetual Kid, $12
3. An apotheosis of journals, this is perfect to write about all the vexing characters in your life. The inside even has quotes to fuel your anger! (See below) In My Humble Opinion Journal from Knock Knock, $17
4. Pad of voodoo dolls = 60 opportunities to curse. Paper Voodoo Pad from Knock Knock, $7.50 (Note: Remember when Maria interviewed Jen Bilik, founder and creator of Knock Knock?)
5. “Dear Roommate, please discard your putrid veal from the fridge or you will end up like this poor sticky man. xoxo.” Murder Ink Sticky Note Pad from Pure Modern, $10 (pre-order now!)
6. Have you ever imagined sneaking into your ex-special friend’s bathroom, replacing his/her bathroom mat with a more sanguineous version, thus provoking him/her to run away from his/her bathroom in terror, dropping his/her towel outside in the deemed “safe haven,” and crying? Revenge, my friend. Blood Bath Mat from Perpetual Kid, $18
Do you like Knock Knock’s In My Humble Opinion journal as much as Maria and me? Thanks to Knock Knock, you have a lovely opportunity to win your very own journal! To win, leave a comment (a brief vent about someone who angered you this week? or a “hi tricia?!”…I HAVE PRESENTED YOU WITH TWO IDEAS) below by Sunday, November 8th! We will select the winner by a random number generator, and announce the winner on Monday, November 9th!

As many dedicated Stickers and Donuts readers know, we are quite particular about our writing implements. We even created a Stickers and Donuts Writing Implement Test Sheet-a true testament to our love! Thanks to JetPens.com, here is YOUR opportunity to win a set of the most beloved pen model in Asia: The Hi-Tec-C!
The Hi-Tec-C is known for its incredibly precise tip, and non-bleed ink. The pen also comes in a ridiculous number of colors (I own a “Beni Fuji Sunset Red” Hi-Tec-C“!). The Hello Kitty and friends that sit atop these Hi-Tec-Cs make them extra special! Even after you’ve written up a storm and used all of the ink, you can transfer the Hello Kitty caps to normal Hi-Tec-C pens.
One lucky winner will the set of 10 Hello Kitty 0.3mm Hi-Tec-C pens above! To win, leave a friendly (or non-friendly?) comment below by June 12th! We will select the winner by a random number generator, and announce the winner on June 15th!
GOOD LUCK!
11/15 — CONTEST HAS ENDED. Thanks for all your entries! Winners will be informed soon.
WIN one of these! We have TEN to give away! Just leave a comment below!

Yes, last week we gave away a poster. We didn’t want it ourselves or anything. It wouldn’t have looked perfect, for example, in a frame on either of our bedroom walls. So we were happy to give it away. Seriously.
Anyway, remember a few weeks ago when I reviewed an ipod case that looks like a cassette tape? Well, Stickers & Donuts and Proporta, who makes that case along with other ipod accessories, are giving away some cases for your third generation ipod nano (the squat one shown above). The prize pack comes with everything you’d get if you bought one for real:
How many do we have to to give away? (10) TEN!!! Yes. So that means this is one of those not-that-many-will-enter but many-will-win situations. Let’s face it, Stickers & Donuts does not have the same readership as, say, Teen Vogue. So your chance of winning? Pretty good.
You can win by leaving a comment below. We are going to pick randomly so you can say “Hello” and nothing else, but we do prefer you say something fantastic like, “I’ve been reading your blog for months and think you are fabulous.” It won’t improve your chances of winning, but it will improve our mood.
If you are comment-shy, shoot us an email (use the subject line “case contest”) and we’ll put you in the running with everyone else. You’ve got until November 14, so force your family members to enter on your behalf.
In September, we put on our party shoes and pranced to the beat of eight sickity slick poster artists. Honestly? There was definitely some earth, wind, and fire summoned. (eh? eh? Don’t worry, This Babybel is just getting warmed up!) Halfway through the ppaarrttyy, we introduced you to the wonderful Jason Munn (The Small Stakes). If you paid close attention, you already know that Jason created 20 limited edition prints for Insound.
Well, my little pumpkins, you’re in for a hexose-y treat. Recently, Insound asked us if we wanted to take part in their amazing Insound 20 contest. 20 posters to give away, 20 different websites (and we’re one of them!!!) Maria and I have both been soo excited, that for the past week our internet exchanges have featured more “!”s and “:D”s than usual!
Insound & Stickers and Donuts are giving away THIS Black Heart Procession poster from the Insound 20 collection!!@#!%%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:
DEETS:
1. This is an exclusive opportunity! Only Stickers and Donuts readers have the opportunity to win THIS poster.
2. The prize is hand-numbered! Some number between 1 and 200! We are not just tossing around that “limited edition” term- WE MEAN IT!
3. Remember, Insound 20 supports 826NYC, one of Stickers and Donuts’ favorite charities! After you enter, browse around! Support creative writing programs for kids! Wee! (Psst, Insound sometimes includes treats in orders! I once received a surprise in the form of a MIA poster!)
With all this power (we have the poster to give, suckas!), we considered different contest options. Perhaps we should make our readers balance a tower of donuts on their heads? Have them profess their love for us in the form of an ode (documented on youtube, of course.)? (How 21st century!) Or maybe a font identification test? Ultimately, we realized that hazing is bad. This is our first contest, and it’s too early for some panhellenic mischief. So, all you have to do is… CLICK HERE. Fill in your name. Fill in your email. THE END! SO QUICK! SO EASY!
Stickers and Donuts will announce the winner on Tuesday, October 28th (one week to enter!)
